Select Stain Type
Nylon generally should be dry cleaned. Always follow garment label instructions when pretreating and laundering your clothes. For colored garments, test an inside seam for colorfastness.
If the garment is washable, treat tar stains as quickly as possible. Use a dull knife to scrape excess tar from the fabric. Place the stain face down on clean paper towels. Sponge with dry-cleaning fluid, if available. Replace towels frequently for better absorption. Apply corresponding Persil gel or alternatively a stain remover onto the stain, cover the stain and let it set for 20 minutes. Then wash with corresponding Persil gel or alternatively Persil powder in the maximum temperature recommended on the garment label. If dry clean only, take it to the dry cleaner for stain removal.
