Wool generally should be dry cleaned. Always follow garment label instructions when pretreating and laundering your clothes. For colored garments, test an inside seam for colorfastness.
If the garment is washable, treat stain with wool compatible stain remover. If the stain is still visible, apply white vinegar or citric acid solution to the stain. Set for 15 minutes and then rinse. Then wash with Perwoll Balsam Magic and a color safe bleach (if recommended for the garment) in the maximal temperature recommended on the garment label. If dry clean only, take it to the dry cleaner for stain removal.
